A pledge for freedom

Every morning at 8 AM I get a reminder from the I Am Sober app to do my daily pledge. Even though counting days does not mean that much anymore, except for the big milestones like 100 days, the pledge is still meaningful to me.

I thought I would share in case it could be helpful to someone else.

NOTE: You can now listen to this in a affirmation meditation form on Insight Timer

The pledge

I want to live a life of purpose and meaning.

I will not use my energy to worry. Instead, I will use my energy to believe, create, learn, think, and grow.

May I be peaceful, happy, and light in body and spirit.

May I be safe and free from injury. May I be free from anger, affliction, fear, and anxiety.

I love myself unconditionally because it is essential to my happiness. I love the person I am, and I do not need other people’s approval to fully love myself.

I welcome the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone, and I do not let myself be guided by fear.

I will stay free from that which does not serve me today.

I write about mental health, addiction, sober living, and living your best life. If you find value in my writing, consider buying me a coffee ☕️
