Wow. Thank you for this honest piece of writing. I do not know about your conclusion though. I am not sure getting married is the only answer for you and your daughter.

As the old saying goes, if you cannot be happy by yourself, you will never be happy with someone else. Perhaps you just need more time to work on you, to focus on your well-being. Thing is, you cannot take care of someone else until you have taken care of yourself(insert airline oxygen mask line here).

I wish you and your daughter all of the very best, and perhaps Mr. Right is the answer. Before you jump the gun though, be honest with yourself about the reasons why you believe you need someone else to rescue you.
